After being discontinued by Carlos Alcaraz as head coach, Juan Carlos Ferrero has been gaining a lot of steam on media. It's been less than two weeks since the decision was made and already Ferrero has given interviews to three media houses.

Ferrero's latest interview was with Javier de Diego on Radio Nacional Española, where he talked more about the reason behind the split and his relationship with the Spaniard.

Fans made interpretations on why Ferrero is giving out so many interviews while Alcaraz and his team are going about their business silently. Several fans pointed out that the former coach is acting immaturely.

"It's a bit odd that he continues to do interviews. Guilty conscience or something? One party is minding their own business, training.. the other talking to the media repeatedly," one fan wrote. "girl spend christmas with ur family not reporters we’re begging," one fan added. "LOL.. they sound like lovers breaking up," one fan reacted. "third interview? he needs to stop talking now. he's the employee. Carlos is not 15 any more. Ferrero doesn't get to control everything. they put forth a deal and he didn't want to agree. players change coaches all the time. none spend a week giving interviews. it's unprofessional," one fan commented. "I agree with everything he said! Carlos has work to do and the more interviews JCF keeps giving is not helping," another posted. "Being perfectly sane and acting in such a ridiculous way, like a desperate betrayed husband, even he probably doesn't believe there's any hope for the situation to be resolved. Give me a break, Ferrero. What a mess!" one fan added. "Eh JCF is kind of being a cuck. Of course he’s a really nice guy and doesn’t want hard feelings and tension with alcaraz. But alcaraz is an adult and he signed off on the decision. Being overly warm and appreciative just looks weak," another wrote.

Carlos Alcaraz's former coach Juan Carlos Ferrero reveals what was wrong with contract

Previously, in his interview with Marca, Juan Carlos Ferrero suggested that the two sides had disagreements regarding a new contract. At the time, Ferrero expressed his unhappiness that despite the disagreements, Alcaraz's camp didn't make the effort to discuss it out.

Now, in his latest interview with Javier de Diego on Radio Nacional Española, he revealed what was wrong with the contract. According to Ferrero, the contract had some clauses in place that were against the head coach's values and were unacceptable.

"I was sent the new contract, I didn't agree with certain things, I let him know, and we couldn't reach an agreement," Ferrero said. "When we returned from Bologna, I didn't expect anything like this, given the results we've had. We haven't had a single argument all year, neither with him nor with anyone around him. "There weren't many clauses in my favor in the previous contract. I'm true to my values, and there were certain things I couldn't accept because of who I am, and I'm satisfied with that. We're all different, and when that happens, you have to accept it."

While talking to Marca, Ferrero admitted that he made an effort and reached out to Alcaraz to find out if he was aware of the disagreements. Once the Spaniard acknowledged the ongoing contract talks, Ferrero said he didn't bother the World No. 1 again.

Despite the controversial split, Ferrero hopes that the unexpected split doesn't damage his relationship with Alcaraz. He is also open to coaching him again if an opportunity comes up. But till then, he will enjoy the amount of time they spent together since Alcaraz was 15.
