Soaking wet model chosen for ‘26 SI Swim reveal stuns in teeny bikini

Penny Lane has gone from Rookie of the Year to star of the show in just three years — as she joins SI Swim icon (and longtime girlfriend of none other than Gronk himself) Camille Kostek for the official sneak peek of the 2026 Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue. Influencer/entrepreneur Alix Earle, newly single after years with Houston Texans’ Braxton Berrios and currently enjoying the high life of VIP parties with the likes of Tom Brady and Joe Burrow, was also in the big reveal.

To celebrate, SI Swim revisited a steamy throwback of a soaking wet Lane, lounging in the pool in a black string bikini.

“Before traveling to Botswana for SI Swimsuit 2026, Penny Lane made her daring debut in Portugal,” the brand captioned its Wednesday, March 18 share to X (formerly Twitter).

The share appeared the day after the break-the-internet preview dropped, starring all three women.

“[Lane] is returning for a third consecutive year in 2026 with a shoot in Southern Africa, but first, let’s look back at her first-ever feature,” reads the accompanying article about the model in Sports Illustrated Swimsuit. It then harked back to last year, when the model braved the cold in Switzerland, modeling barely-there bikinis in the frigid and snow-covered Alps.

“However, before she traversed the stunning shores of Botswana or posed among the bustling cityscapes of Switzerland, Lane debuted with SI Swimsuit in Portugal in 2024 following her 2023 Swim Search open casting call co-win,” writes the outlet. “Her remarkable rookie feature was marked by an eclectic array of aesthetics, with her luxurious designer looks styled somewhere between sultry and sweet.”
