Without Giannis Antetokounmpo, the Milwaukee Bucks beat Steph Curry’s Golden State Warriors 120-110 on Thursday behind Ryan Rollins. The former Warrior dazzled, finishing with a game-high 32 points, eight assists and three rebounds. The Warriors couldn't even beat the Bucks without Giannis, and people tried to tell me they're contenders 😭

He was Giannis tonight 🤣🤣🤣 and beat the warriors hahah
Rollins showed signs of becoming at least a solid point guard last season. He averaged a career-high 6.2 points, 1.9 assists and 1.9 rebounds per game. The Bucks saw enough in him to sign him to a three-year, $12 million contract in July. After waiving Damian Lillard in the offseason and Kevin Porter Jr.’s injury two games into the season, Milwaukee is putting more on Rollins’ plate.
So far, the No. 44 pick of the 2022 NBA draft has zoomed past the expectations the Bucks have of him. On Tuesday, he helped Giannis Antetokounmpo carry the team past the New York Knicks, their usual tormentors. Ryan Rollins backed the two-time MVP with 25 points, four assists, four steals and two rebounds.
On Thursday, Rollins played an even better game. He outplayed former teammate Steph Curry, particularly in the fourth quarter, on national TV.
Ryan Rollins outshone Warriors superstars in leading Bucks to win without Giannis Antetokounmpo
The Milwaukee Bucks put Giannis Antetokounmpo, who entered the game with probable status, on the inactive list an hour before tip-off. With the two-time MVP relegated to cheerleading duties, Ryan Rollins put on a dazzling show.
Rollins ran the offense and led his team in scoring. He thrived as the engine of the offense and willingly played decoy when needed. Warriors coach Steve Kerr, who gave Rollins 12 games during the 2022-23 season, could not devise a strategy to contain his former player.
In the end, Ryan Rollins outshone the Warriors’ veteran superstar. He had more points (32-27) than Steph Curry and had more 3-pointers (5-4) with better efficiency (71.4%-40.0%) than the two-time MVP.
For good measure, Rollins delivered the dagger 3-pointer over the outstretched arms of Jimmy Butler. The triple prompted Giannis Antetokounmpo to stand up and raise his hands in celebration.
