SmackDown star shares three-word reaction to rumored WWE return

A popular SmackDown star shared a three-word message in reaction to a rumored WWE return. The veteran teamed up with her husband in a loss to Rhea Ripley and Damian Priest earlier this month.

Zelina Vega, now known as just Zelina on SmackDown, took to social media today to react to the company's rumored return to Puerto Rico next year. It was reported earlier today that the company is planning to return to Puerto Rico for Backlash 2026 on May 9, 2026.

Vega battled Rhea Ripley at Backlash 2023 in Puerto Rico but could not defeat The Eradicator to become SmackDown Women's Champion. The former Women's United States Champion shared a three-word reaction to the news ahead of tonight's edition of WWE SmackDown, and you can check out her message in the post below.

"You don’t say…," she wrote.

Vega is married to Aleister Black in real life, and the couple was defeated by The Terror Twins (Ripley and Priest) earlier this month on SmackDown. The 34-year-old had a brief reign as Women's United States Champion earlier this year but dropped the title to Giulia. Chelsea Green has since won the title for the second time and is the reigning Women's United States Champion on SmackDown.

Zelina Vega reveals she wants to prove her doubters wrong in WWE

Zelina Vega recently shared that she wanted to prove her doubters wrong in the promotion.

In an exclusive interview with Sportskeeda Wrestling, the former champion noted that she had never captured a major title during her time in the company. Vega stated that her goal was to become WWE Women's Champion so she could prove her doubters wrong.

"I feel like I've gotten the chance to do some amazing things, work with some amazing people. Andrade, and obviously I got to work very closely with Rey, I got to be the first ever Queen of the Ring, and tag champion, but I've never actually gotten to be WWE Women's Champion. So that's my goal. It's something that I really wanted to do and prove that I can do. There's been so many doubters and people who thought I couldn't do any of what I've accomplished," she said.

Only time will tell what the company has planned for Backlash 2026 next year in Puerto Rico.
