Randal Grichuk left one potent lineup for another.
In the meantime, he remembered how to do damage at the plate himself in a way he wasn't doing for the New York Yankees.
But with the surprisingly powerful Chicago White Sox, Grichuk looks right at home.
That included a clutch three-run double to clear the bases on Thursday afternoon, which continued an incredible stretch.
After Grichuk was putrid with the Yanks, he's been pivotal with the White Sox:
Randal Grichuk in 16 games with the Yankees:
.194 AVG | 0 HR | 2 RBI | .535 OPS | 43 wRC+
Randal Grichuk in 18 games since joining the White Sox:
.353 AVG | 4 HR | 13 RBI | 1.124 OPS | 213 wRC+

Grichuk seems unlikely to stay this hot, but he also is a better hitter than he showed with the Yankees. He'll likely settle somewhere in the middle.
The Yanks had hoped for this kind of production from Grichuk in a short-side platoon role. In a lineup full of left-handed bats, they wanted the veteran righty to hit against opposing southpaws.
He didn't produce at all, though, and so the Yankees moved on.
The White Sox don't have a lot of names in their lineup that casual MLB fans would recognize, but they're raking, and Grichuk has joined in the party.
They're certainly having a good time in the black and white pinstripes that the White Sox rock.
