Simone Biles has cute sideline moment with Jonathan Owens before Lions-Colts game

Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens had an adorable moment on the sidelines before his preseason game.

Before Owens took the field for the Indianapolis Colts and Detroit Lions game on Aug. 29, he and Biles made sure they did their signature handshake. On the sidelines, the most-decorated gymnast shared a kiss with Owens as she fixed his headband and he pulled her in for a hug. The NFL star then called her back so that they could do their handshake. The request made Biles beam at him as they did their handshake, which ended with the Colts safety giving her a gentle tap on her butt. 

"Ugh GOALS!," one fan wrote in the comment section during the sideline moment. 

"My favorite power couple," another fan wrote alongside several red heart emojis. 

The 2026-2027 season marks Owens' first year on the Colts following his two-season stint with the Chicago Bears. Following his March 2026 signing to Indianapolis, Biles shared a photo of the two at the Colts facility with Owens sitting down with a paper in front of him and a pen in his hand.

"Excited to call Indy home this upcoming football season 
beyond proud of you @jowens! keep defeating the odds, i love you," she captioned the photo.

Owens reflected on his two seasons with the Bears in a heartfelt post on Instagram where he shared several photos of his time in Chicago.

"Took a while to process man, but what a year, definitely the most fun I’ve had playing football in a long time," he began. "Don’t know what the future holds but our time in Chicago will forever hold a special place in our heart."

He concluded: "The love from the city is UNMATCHED, from the food to the fans Still surreal to say i just finished my 8th season, hard work pays off man. Back in the lab soon."

Prior to his time in Chicago, he played for the Houston Texans from 2019 to 2022 and the Green Bay Packers for the 2023 NFL season. 

The Colts' first regular-season game will be against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday, Sept. 13 at 1 pm ET.
