Jayden Reed is an exciting player who the Green Bay Packers use in a variety of ways.
He's also out for an extended period after having surgery both on a foot and on a clavicle on Tuesday, which Reed announced on X.
Fantasy football managers have begun to seek advice on what to do with Reed in the meantime.
Luckily, this isn't a hard decision.

Should I drop Jayden Reed in fantasy football?
Yes, you should drop Jayden Reed in your fantasy football league.
There's an obvious exception: If you can put Reed into an Injured Reserve (IR) spot on your team, do that first.
But if you don't have IR spots or if Reed isn't eligible based on your league settings, he's totally fine to drop.
He's a playmaker, but the Packers have such a bulky WR depth chart that counting on Reed in any week, even when healthy, is a tough ask.

By the time Reed is back, rookie Matthew Golden may have earned himself a bigger target share, anyway.
Especially considering that Reed's injury timeline isn't even particularly clear, you shouldn't feel bad about moving on from him for someone who can actually play right now.
