Former MLB pitcher Lance Lynn announced his retirement from baseball in April on his podcast. Known for his long bearded look, Lynn had no option but to shave when he was traded to the New York Yankees in July 2018. The Yankees had a strict facial hair policy back then.

On Monday, Lynn's wife Dynim reflected on that memory, seeing the right-hander in a completely different light. She seems to have recently visited the campus of Ole Miss, where she posted a picture near a wall that shows Lynn pitching for the Yankees in a clean-shaven look. The wall also had a quote from Lynn, in which he praised his alma mater:

"Nothing could have prepared me better for the next level than my three years at Ole Miss."

Dynim shared her candid reaction to Lynn's Yankees era. She wrote:

"I don't talk about Lance's Yankees era enough, but waking up to him everyday without a beard was a shock to the system."

For the Yankees, Lynn started in the bullpen before being elevated to the role of starting pitcher to replace struggling pitcher Sonny Gray. Lynn made 11 appearances for the Yankees, posting a 3-2 record with an ERA of 4.14 and 61 strikeouts.

Lynn is a two-time All-Star and even won the 2011 World Series title with the St. Louis Cardinals.

"Time runs fast," says Lance Lynn's wife Dynim as they celebrate their kids birthday

Lance Lynn and Dynim are parents to four children, including a daughter named Mia from the pitcher's previous relationship to Lauren Grill. The couple first welcomed Lively Michael Lynn on February 23, 2019, followed by Rumer Elizabeth Lynn on October 22, 2020, and Judge Ryder Lynn on October 26, 2022.

On October 23, Dynim shared a post capturing their daughter Rumer and their son Judge, who turned five and three years old, respectively. She candidly wrote:

"Happy birthday to my babies!!! Rumer turned 5 yesterday and Judge turns 3 tomorrow. Time goes by so, so fast 🥲"

Now that he has hit retirement, he has more time on his hands to spend with his children, a luxury he couldn't afford when he was active in MLB.
