Shedeur Sanders injury update has Dillon Gabriel playing vs. Bills at QB

1 hour ago 2

Shedeur Sanders left the field unexpectedly.

The Cleveland Browns had run a pass play on second-and-goal, and Sanders' pass fell incomplete.

At the end of it, Sanders hustled to the sideline, and Dillon Gabriel came into the game to play QB.

It wasn't obvious how Sanders had gotten hurt.

But when CBS cameras zoomed in, Sanders had a very bloody pinky finger.

Play-by-play guy Ian Eagle speculated that Sanders may have gotten the finger caught in a helmet or hit by a helmet.

Gabriel came in for third-and-goal, and the Browns called a pass. But Gabriel didn't see anyone open, tried to scramble and was brought down just behind the line of scrimmage.

Sanders appeared to bypass the blue medical tent to instead go all the way to the home locker room.

The Browns kicked a chip-shot field goal after the lone Gabriel play.

Fans will have to wait for the next drive to see if Shedeur comes back in the football game.
