"She’s such a loser man," "She lowkey sounds jealous"- Fans go wild after Mercedes Moné's response to John Cena's retirement

WWE star John Cena will be hanging up his boots this weekend at Saturday Night's Main Event. AEW star Mercedes Moné recently reacted to the star's farewell and got roasted by the fans.

Cena will close out his Hall of Fame-worthy career at the Capital One Center in Washington, D.C. this week. He will face Gunther in a singles match. The Ring General won the Last Time is Now tournament to emerge as the final opponent for the star. During this retirement tour, Cena battled some major names in WWE, including Cody Rhodes, CM Punk, Randy Orton, Logan Paul, R-Truth, Sami Zayn, Brock Lesnar, AJ Styles, and Dominik Mysterio.

This week, during a live video on social media, AEW star Mercedes Moné was taking fan questions. When asked about Cena's final run, she just said "Goodbye" in a disrespectful tone. The fans took issue with the statement and started mocking the TBS Women's Champion in the comments section.

The fans mocked the star, calling her a "loser." One fan even stated that she was lowkey jealous of the 17-time World Champion. Another fan felt she was just being bitter, disrespecting the legend during his final run.

John Cena wants the event to showcase younger talent

During the last few weeks, John Cena detailed that he wanted Saturday Night's Main Event to be an opportunity for younger talent to showcase their skills to the WWE Universe.

He wanted his final match to be the platform for some of the NXT talent to wow the fans with their skills. This led to WWE booking several up-and-coming talents for the show. NXT Champion Oba Femi will face WWE Undisputed Champion Cody Rhodes. Je'Von Evans and Leon Slater will battle AJ Styles and Dragon Lee, and female wrestling sensation Sol Ruca will take on Bayley in a singles match.

It will definitely be an emotional night for fans and stars alike as John Cena shows up to the ring one last time this Saturday.
