Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill shared a cryptic post on social media as the Indianapolis Colts are moving forward without Daniel Jones. The quarterback suffered a season-ending Achilles injury in Week 14.

The Colts are set to start 44-year-old Philip Rivers against the Seattle Seahawks after signing him on Monday. They were forced into the move following injuries to Jones and Anthony Richardson.

Rivers was out of the NFL for five years before Indianapolis signed him to its practice squad. The surprising move has drawn mixed reactions around the league, including from Hill, who is known for being outspoken on social media.

Hill weighed in on the conspiracy theory floated by Kurt Benkert, addressing speculation about the real reason Rivers chose to return to the league.

The former Atlanta Falcons quarterback suggested on X that Rivers' health insurance was close to expiring and that he has a large family to support.

Hill responded by quoting the post with one emoji, which added to the mystery. Given that Hill also has a large family, some believe he can relate to the situation. However, others think he was just highlighting how short post-retirement health coverage can be.

Will Tyreek Hill recover from his ACL injury in time to start the 2026 season?

Tyreek Hill has been among the league’s elite receivers for almost 10 years. However, his future is uncertain after a season-ending injury in Week 4 against the New York Jets. The setback has created doubt about whether he’ll be fully healthy in time for the 2026 campaign.

While his agent, Drew Rosenhaus, offered optimism about his recovery, ACL tears are unpredictable. The uncertainty is even greater given Hill’s age, as recovery timelines can be longer for players in their 30s.

"Everything I get from Tyreek and the Dolphins is that his rehab is going extremely well,” Rosenhaus said in October, via ESPN. "He’s working incredibly hard. He’s made really great progress, and everything is going according to schedule."

While serious, the injury is not uncommon in professional sports, and many players have recovered from it. One recent example is New England Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs, who tore his ACL in October 2024 and returned for this season.

If Hill’s rehabilitation goes well, there is reason to believe that he could be ready to suit up again when the 2026 campaign starts.
