The trailer for season two of John Cena's "Peacemaker" has just released, and let's just say there may be a connection between the series and James Gunn's upcoming "Superman" film that drops in July.

The full-length trailer, which premiered on Friday, begins with Cena's Chris/Peacemaker being questioned by Justice League’s Green Lantern/Guy Gardner. "Can you tell us a little about your skills?," asks Green Lantern, which prompts Peacemaker to reply, "I’m considered the finest marksman in the world...I am also proficient in hand-to-hand combat." Green Lantern, isn't impressed, and neither is Hawkgirl for that matter, with the two eventually proclaiming, "This guy sucks!"

As for season two's general storyline, it will follow Peacemaker as he struggles to reconcile elements of his past with his newfound sense of purpose in fighting for the greater good, and while the rebooted "Superman" isn't required viewing to understand what's going on, it may be helpful, as there could be some connection between the two as far as dimensions/universes being intertwined...you know how these superhero franchises go.
