The Los Angeles Rams came up short of making the Super Bowl, losing a heartbreaker to the Seattle Seahawks in the NFC Championship game.
In the aftermath of that game, the Rams' coaching staff could now be poached. While Nate Scheelhaase was a hot topic, as was Chris Shula, only Mike LaFleur was hired away as a head coach this offseason.
During an interview a week after their playoff elimination, in a post from Ari Meirov of The 33rd Team, McVay shared a hilarious reaction to the news of LaFleur being hired as head coach of the Arizona Cardinals.
Sean McVay has hilarious reaction to Mike LaFleur being hired as HC
"It never fails," McVay said, "Every time my wife and I go on vacation, someone is getting a head coach job, and then I'm spending too much time on my phone."
#Rams HC Sean McVay, talking about teams hiring head coaches off his staff:

The Rams have, seemingly, always lost top coaching minds the last few years, with their best coordinators and coaches always being some of the hottest names.
LaFleur was hired away this year, but in years past, Kevin O'Connell, Liam Coen, Matt LaFleur, Raheem Morris, and others have all left the Rams for varying reasons, and all either are head coaches or were hired as head coaches after their Rams stint.

It's become an annual tradition that some coach from the Rams is poached for a promotion in the offseason, and with the Rams making it deep into the playoffs, teams had to wait a little while longer.
The Rams are going to need to find a new offensive coordinator, and likely will need to replace Scheelhaase next year as well.
Constant change is common for the McVay tree, so much so that McVay's vacations after the season come to a close seem to always include one of his coaches being hired away.
