Hip-hop legend Snoop Dogg shared a simple but warm message of love to his devastated daughter as she grieves the gut-wrenching death of her baby daughter.
The rapper’s only daughter, Cori Broadus, revealed Saturday that her 10-month old Codi had died — just weeks after she was released from the hospital.
“Monday, I lost the love of my life. My Codi,” she wrote on her Instagram Stories with an angel wing emoji, sharing a black-and-white photo of herself holding Codi, who was born prematurely.
Shortly after the announcement, Snoop took to Instagram and posted a photo of himself with Cori, 26, and his sons, Corde, 31, and Cordell, 28, paired with the simple caption, “💖🙏🏾.”
Fans flooded the comments with prayers and messages of love for the grieving family.
Broadus announced that her first baby, fathered by her fiancé Wayne Deuce, was born three months prematurely in February 2025, according to TMZ.
Codi spent most of her short life in the neonatal intensive care unit. She died less than a month after she was released.
“20 days later?! Dawg I’m sick,” Broadus said in a follow-up post about her daughter’s death.
Snoop’s daughter and Deuce were engaged in 2022 and due to be married — but their nuptial plans were put on hold when Broadus, who was diagnosed with lupus when she was 6, suffered a severe stroke in January 2024.
The rapper said recently of her Deuce that he’s “the one” for his daughter.
“As a father, you know. I’m gonna speak for him because, as a father, one thing you know is when it’s your baby girl, you ain’t gonna hand her off to nobody who ain’t gonna handle her with care,” he said during an emotional appearance on the “Jennifer Hudson Show,” according to Fox News.
