Seahawks trade rumor from Adam Schefter opens door for electric deadline

The Seattle Seahawks have surprised a lot of people this season, as not only are they a good team, they are one of the best teams in the NFL.

We saw more evidence of that on Sunday night, when Seattle easily disposed of the Washington Commanders in a game that wasn't close.

With the Seahawks firing on all cylinders, it has left many wondering if the team will be aggressive at the trade deadline.

ESPN's Adam Schefter didn't say definitively that Seattle would take that approach, but he did suggest Seattle as a "team to watch" ahead of the Tuesday, Nov. 4 trade deadline.

"Seattle is interesting," Schefter said on The Pat McAfee Show. "Seattle would be a team to watch (at the trade deadline).

Schefter previously reported that the Seahawks were taking trade calls on Boye Mafe and Riq Woolen, although he also noted the team "hasn't wanted to trade" either player.

But, on Monday, Schefter said that "if they do something with (Mafe and Woolen), I don't think that they would be isolated moves," meaning Seattle could flip those players for other players, or use the draft capital they get to acquire more help.

This is the second time we've seen an insider point to the Seahawks as a team to watch. In fact, FOX Sports' Jay Glazer noted that Seattle is "very aggressive right now for several different positions."

Truth be told, with the Seahawks rolling along and looking like a true contender, they should hold on to Woolen and Mafe for depth purposes, and that's especially true considering how riddled with injury the secondary has been.

Either way, the door is at least somewhat open for the Seahawks to have an electric deadline that could see them both buying and selling players.
