CM Punk is set to be a fighting World Heavyweight Champion on RAW, as he listed a number of superstars whom he would ideally like to cross paths with as the top dog of WWE. He named a 35-year-old star in a statement that might shock some, as he said the RAW star could dethrone him.

This week on the RAW after Saturday Night's Main Event, it only seemed apt that the newly-crowned World Heavyweight Champion, CM Punk, opened the proceedings. He was grateful to those who brought him along the way, and after what seemed like a mushy promo, he began to list superstars whom he would like to cross paths with as the World Champion of RAW.

Some of those names included AJ Styles, "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio, Sheamus, and even John Cena for one last match. He even praised The Judgment Day's Finn Balor, but perhaps the biggest surprise was his mention of the 35-year-old JD McDonagh. CM Punk called JD McDonagh a "killer" and a professional wrestler, and said that if McDonagh was on his best form, and Punk wasn't at his best, the title could very well change hands.

This was perhaps the single biggest endorsement that JD McDonagh has ever received as a wrestler. There has always been some level of knowledge that McDonagh was an exceptional talent, which is why he is where he is, and why he is a multi-time Tag Team Champion.

However, things could get interesting if McDonagh genuinely turns up as a World Title challenger. In the Judgment Day, Balor is viewed as a World Title challenger, and Dominik Mysterio is viewed by some as a future World Champion. However, this endorsement of McDonagh was a massive one.

Unfortunately for Punk, the first man to confront him would be none other than Logan Paul.
