The week after coming off their bye, the Seattle Seahawks will be faced with a tough task in Week 9. Quarterback Jayden Daniels and the Washington Commanders will be as hungry as ever while trying to stay within the playoff race.

Meanwhile, the Seahawks (5-2) will look to maintain their hold on a tight NFC West race, with the Los Angeles Rams (5-2) and San Francisco 49ers (5-3) also sitting at five wins entering the week.

With a lot on the line, the Seattle Seahawks could be without one of their top receivers heading into their matchup on Sunday.

Seahawks' Cooper Kupp questionable after second injury late in week

According to The Athletic's Michael-Shawn Dugar, first-year Seahawks receiver Cooper Kupp is questionable for Seattle's Week 9 matchup against the Commanders. While already dealing with a heel injury, Kupp hurt his hamstring during practice this week.

Kupp, 32, signed a three-year, $45 million deal with the Seahawks this past offseason after spending his first eight seasons with the Los Angeles Rams. The former AP Offensive Player of the Year is a Washington native and played college ball for Eastern Washington.

In seven games in the 2025 regular season, Kupp has 24 receptions, 292 receiving yards, and one touchdown.

If Kupp can't play Sunday, the Seahawks are expected to lean more on wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba, 2025 fifth-round pick Tory Horton, and tight end AJ Barner.
