Scottie Scheffler celebrates arrest anniversary at PGA Championship with hilarious outfit choice

Scottie Scheffler is about a year removed from his surprising arrest before playing in the PGA Championship.

He might not say it outright, but it seems the anniversary might have some meaning to Scheffler.

Scheffler pulled up to his practice round on Wednesday in a color suspiciously close to a prison jumpsuit.

Golf.com's Claire Rogers shared that it's the first time Scheffler has worn that color since last year at the Louisville Police Department.

Scottie Scheffler has worn burnt orange twice in the last year.

First was a year ago this week at the Louisville Police Department. The second time is today. He’s got to be messing with us pic.twitter.com/mKEzY8zvUk

The key caveat here is that Scheffler did attend the University of Texas.

He could just be rocking Longhorns orange.

But he's never shown a propensity to do that before, according to Rogers.

Maybe this really is a callback to his adventurous 2024 PGA Championship experience.

Scheffler enters this week's tournament as the betting favorite on most sites, just ahead of Masters champion Rory McIlroy.
