There’s a new plot twist in the summer transfer saga — and this one has a desert breeze. Saudi Pro League giants Al-Hilal have set their sights firmly on Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes.

But there’s one problem: Ruben Amorim doesn’t plan to roll out the red carpet for any suitors.

Bruno, now 30, has been United’s engine room once again this season. With 19 goals and 18 assists in 52 matches, he’s been one of the few bright spots in what’s been a rollercoaster ride for the club.

Despite their struggles in the league, United are still in the hunt for Europa League glory, thanks in part to Fernandes’ clutch performances.

Now, Al Hilal — the reigning champions of Saudi Arabia — want him to be the next superstar signing.

After missing out on Mohamed Salah, they’ve turned their full attention to the Portuguese playmaker.

But United aren't picking up the phone just yet. According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, there’s been no official offer, no talks, and definitely no waving goodbye. Fernandes remains “untouchable” in the eyes of the club hierarchy.

Manager Ruben Amorim was crystal clear earlier this year. “No, it’s not going to happen. He’s not going anywhere because I’ve already told him!” Amorim said in March.

Amorim doubled down on his stance, praising Fernandes’ consistency. “Between assists and goals, he’s there for 30 at least… he’s the type of player we want here and he’s not going anywhere.”

Al Hilal have the money and ambition, but this might be one nut even oil money can’t crack — at least for now.
