Sara Foster is doing it all this holiday season. The Nobody Wants This executive producer is juggling a hit TV series, parenting, and now launching her very first holiday card.
For someone who admits she’s always admired other people’s perfectly planned family cards from afar, this year marks a first: an exclusive reveal of her very own holiday card, created with Minted.
Sara revealed the process was equal parts effortless and totally on-brand for the podcast host and her daughters.
But the holiday spirit didn’t stop at the card. The Favorite Daughter founder told E! what she gifted the Nobody Wants This crew, the Favorite Daughter items she thinks make a great gift for everyone on your list, and the traditions — from sentimental photo displays to cozy Lifetime Christmas movie nights — that make this time of year her “actual heaven.”
"I love getting holiday cards. I have a mantle — they all go on the mantle, and I keep them up well into January. It becomes decorative," she shared.
"Every year cards roll in and I’m always looking at them, a little jealous if I'm being honest. There's something about families who do holiday cards. It always felt intimidating to me. They come in and I'm like, 'Oh, look at these families. They're so prepared.' I’ve just never done it. It always felt intimidating."
"This year I learned about Minted and I said, 'I'm going to do it.' This is the year! They make it so simple. They take all the intimidation out of it, and I'm so happy with the final product. I'm so excited for people to see it," she said.

"It's very us," she said. "We weren't going to go do a shoot on the beach or in fancy dresses — which I love getting, by the way. I love families who go all out. But it's just not us. This was the perfect image. I'm there with my two favorite daughters.
We're obviously also promoting the brand — maybe I'll sell a couple sweatshirts, you know, of course — and we're all happy. It also felt a little editorial. The photo felt kind of Juergen Teller vibes — like it could be from a coffee table book."

"There was no other image I was considering. I was like, 'Okay, that's it,'" she said. "You upload it, they mock it up, I went through maybe ten options. I did it in five seconds. It was great."
“Neon Vintage” by Minted artist JoAnn Jinks
Take all the intimidation out of creating the perfect holiday card. Sara used this "Neon Vintage" design and you can too! Choose your own color theme, greeting, format, silhouette, and more.
"I used to think when I’d get these cards that I needed the perfect husband and kids to be worthy of sending out a holiday card," she explained. "I wish that when I was single in my twenties I would’ve made cards and sent them out proudly, saying, 'I just wanted to wish you a happy and healthy New Year. Love, me.'"
"No one actually needs the picture-perfect family to be worthy of wishing people a happy holiday on a beautiful card," she continued. "It’s just a nice symbol to show people you care about them."
Sara's Under-$100 Favorite Daughter Gift Ideas
Sara singled out a must-have Favorite Daughter accessory for the season, and it will fit right into a stocking (or a small gift bag).
"For the holidays, I’d say our belts. Every woman is accessorizing right now. She's belting her blazer, her jeans, her trousers, her coats. And our belts — you will not find this quality at this price point. You just won’t. We’re really proud of them," she shared.
Favorite Daughter The Fancy Juni Belt
Favorite Daughter describes The Fancy Juni belt as one that "makes any outfit feel a little fancy." You can choose from three buckle colors.
"They're an amazing holiday gift because a handful of them are under a hundred dollars, which is insane. And a few of the others — which have more metal or buckles — are, I think, $118. It's an amazing stocking stuffer, a great gift for your girlfriend, even a great Secret Santa gift," she said.
Favorite Daughter The Lady Belt
This cool, under-$100 belt features a polished finish on the sleek plaque buckle that the brand says gives this timeless belt a "classic" and "sophisticated" look.
"And our fragrance!" she shared. "We did Favorite Daughter fragrances. But Erin and I can't agree on anything. So she has her scent, I have my scent. Mine's the blue, hers is the pink. And we love competing over who’s selling better. Obviously mine is selling better."
Favorite Daughter Mini Fragrance Duo
Why not gift yourself both? This mini perfume set includes Sara's fresh white florals and Erin's airy freesia-citrus blend. Both are clean and non-toxic.
What Sara Gifted the Nobody Wants This Cast & Crew
"We did wrap gifts for everybody in May. There’s a third season, starting to shoot early next year. We like to subtly drop gifts here and there. Everybody got a Favorite Daughter 'Favorite Crew Member' sweatshirt as a wrap gift."
Favorite Daughter The NWT Embroidery Sweatshirt
While you may not be part of the crew, you can still gift or wear a Favorite Daughter Nobody Wants This embroidered sweatshirt. This one comes in heather grey and navy.
"You’ll see a little Favorite Daughter in season three, as you’ve seen in seasons one and two on Joanne and Morgan, which is great," she said. "Kristen Bell was a fan of Favorite Daughter before we even knew her. When I met her for the first time at Disney while we were auditioning Morgans, she was in the Favorite Daughter favorite trouser."
The Heartfelt Gift Sara Actually Loves
"As I’ve gotten older I’m leaning into sentimental stuff. There’s an Aura Frame — a digital photo frame — and I put it next to my bed. Random photos from my library pop up and it’s so nice to look over and see a moment from ten years ago you forgot about. We gifted one to our grandma. This isn’t paid — just an authentic recommendation. It’s a great gift."
Aura Carver 10" Frame
You can instantly share as many photos and videos as you want from your phone to the Carver, Aura’s super popular HD frame. It’s got a 10-inch landscape screen, smart photo pairing, and even built-in speakers for videos.
The Splurge Gifts Sara Might Treat Herself To
"I love shoes. I love Manolos, Gianvito Rossi — that kind of over-the-top gift I might get myself this holiday. I’m not a big jewelry person. My best friend is Jen Meyer, so I borrow her jewelry."
Looking to treat yourself to some shoes or jewelry this holiday season? We found some options below that will work with your budget.
Kate Spade Renata Mary Jane Pumps
These smooth black satin pumps are accented with shiny embellished buckles and a classic Mary Jane strap. Plus, they 64% off!
Anthropologie Modern Tennis Necklace
This necklace from Anthropologie was designed with daily wear in mind. Available in gold (14k gold-plated brass) or silver (rhodium-plated brass), this square cubic zirconia necklace is so chic.
And when she’s not pulling together thoughtful gifts, Sara leans into the quieter, cozier parts of the holiday season.
Sara shared that her holiday guilty pleasure is Lifetime Christmas movies. We asked if she had a favorite in particular and she answered "all of them. Any of them."
"I just saw that an Alicia Silverstone and Ollie Hudson one dropped and I’m 100% doing that tonight," she said. "It’s perfect because it's going to rain. There’s a storm coming. I’ll make hot chocolate, put the fire on. This is my actual heaven. I’d rather do this than be at the Oscars. I mean, I’d rather be nominated for an Oscar, but I’d rather do this than be a guest. Hands down."
