The New Orleans Saints are just getting mandatory minicamp underway this week, and there are bound to be plenty of interesting storylines to follow.
How the rookies look with the rest of the roster, Tyler Shough's development, and how the new faces fare will all be hot topics. But, for the Saints, the biggest question revolves around Alvin Kamara.
Fortunately, as ESPN's Katherine Terrell highlighted, the Saints might finally get a resolution to this Kamara problem during minicamp, as his future role with the team, if there is one, should be determined soon.
Saints might get an answer with Alvin Kamara during minicamp
"Two days of minicamp might provide more clarity as to how the Saints handle the running back situation and whether Kamara appears to be in the team's plans moving forward," Terrell writes.
Ever since the offseason began, there have been questions about Kamara's future with the team. And when they signed Travis Etienne Jr., those questions only got louder.
The Saints are getting younger, and Kamara, who didn't play much in 2025, and when he did, he wasn't very good, doesn't have a clear future with the Saints right now.

Kellen Moore and the Saints offense may utilize Kamara as the backup RB to Etienne in 2026. But, it's also possible they either cut or trade him this offseason.
Either way, the Saints might finally give an inclination as to their plan with Kamara for the upcoming 2026 season, whether he's a part of the team or not, during minicamp this week.
It's a fascinating question, and a tough one for someone who's meant so much to this franchise for roughly the last decade. While his future is up in the air, minicamp should provide some clarity to this situation for the Saints and the fanbase.
