A couple huge NFL trades went down on June 1.
The Los Angeles Rams got Myles Garrett from the Cleveland Browns, and the Philadelphia Eagles sent A.J. Brown to the New England Patriots.
Alvin Kamara, though, is still a member of the New Orleans Saints.
There was some speculation that Kamara would be part of the hubbub as the calendar flipped to June, but so far, nothing.
And at least through one viewpoint, that might stay the case going forward.
Sports Illustrated national NFL writer Connor Orr predicted in a new article on Tuesday that Kamara won't be traded and will instead remain with the Saints.
That would give New Orleans a strong two-man backfield of Kamara and Travis Etienne, who they signed in free agency this offseason from the Jacksonville Jaguars.
"Combined, Alvin Kamara and Travis Etienne Jr. will generate more than 1,700 yards from scrimmage," Orr writes. "Kamara wants to finish his career in one of the league’s premier cities and will find a role with Etienne to make the backfield tandem work."

Kamara's desires could be a key factor here. As Orr says, Kamara does seem to want to stay with the Saints, where he's spent his entire NFL career.
That takes some pressure off New Orleans. They still might want to renegotiate his contract, but there isn't the inherent weight of a player who doesn't want to be there. Indications are that Kamara is happy, and so a trade would be more about the Saints' plans as a whole and less about the star running back's feelings.
Given that, it definitely makes sense that Kamara could stay put. Sure, a deal could still materialize, but Kamara's chances of remaining in New Orleans seem much better than those other big names on the move staying in their prior places.
