Sabres' fans show Buffalo doesn't need a mic to sing 'O Canada' during anthem technological difficulty

Buffalo hockey fans don't disappoint.

When the microphone had some issues during the rendition of the Canadian national anthem on Tuesday night, the Sabres faithful found one voice and sang the song themselves.

'O Canada' sounded about as unified as could be just a handful of miles from the Canadian border.

Momentarily, it was a scary moment for the anthem singer Cami Clune -- her microphone wasn't missing every word she sang, but most of them.

That's when the Buffalo fans brought their voices out to get through it together:

The Sabres are one of just two NHL teams in the United States that sings both anthems before games, along with the Detroit Red Wings.

It's been a tradition in Buffalo for a half-century, so these fans certainly know what they're doing.

Ironically, Clune's mic started working just fine for 'The Star Spangled Banner,' but yeah, the fans sang right along with that, too.

The building was fired up all night, with the Sabres on the verge of winning a playoff series for the first time in almost two decades.

Buffalo kept the unity going early on, getting a power play goal from Rasmus Dahlin to take a 1-0 lead that held through the end of the first period.

Definitely a cool moment in Western New York, and if the night ends in a Sabres win, it's one these fans won't forget.
