Romeo Beckham’s ex-girlfriend is setting the record straight once and for all.
Kim Turnbull took to social media on Monday, June 16, to break her silence about her recent split from Romeo and the rumors that she once dated his older brother, Brooklyn Beckham.
“I’ve avoided speaking on this topic to avoid adding fuel to the fire, however it’s come to a point where I feel the need to address it so I can move on,” she wrote on her Instagram Story.
“I will not continue to receive harassment or be embarrassed on the basis of lies, to fit a certain narrative,” the model and DJ added.
Turnbull then addressed the rumors that she once dated Brooklyn, although she did not refer to the 26-year-old Beckham by name.
“I have never been romantically involved in ANY capacity at ANY point with the person in question,” she continued. “Nothing between us has occurred further than a school friendship at age 16.”
“I would like to remove myself from the ongoing conversation & set the record straight for the sake of everyone involved,” Turnbull concluded.
Turnbull, 24, and Romeo, 22, broke up in May after seven months of dating.
Their relationship was rumored to be the main source of the ongoing family feud between the Beckhams and Brooklyn and his wife of three years, Nicola Peltz.
Last month, during David Beckham’s 50th birthday bash in London, Brooklyn and Peltz, 30, allegedly refused to attend the party because they did not want to be in the same room as Romeo and Turnbull.
Insiders have since claimed that Turnbull and Romeo split because of the Beckham family drama and the “strain” it caused them.
“Romeo and Kim did split because of the family drama,” a source told Us Weekly this month. “It was mutual. It was just too much pressure and tension looming over them.”
“It put a lot of strain on them and there was no path forward,” they added. “It was unfortunate that it got to that point, but family comes first for Romeo.”
However, another insider claimed that the pair’s breakup had nothing to do with Romeo and Brooklyn’s rumored feud.
“David and Victoria would hate for the view to be that they split because of Nicola and Brooklyn, because that simply isn’t the case,” a source told the Daily Mail.
“The fact is that Kim has got a really busy career as a DJ and Romeo has a busy work life too,” they added, “there is lots of traveling for both of them, so having a relationship at this time isn’t all that conducive to their lives.”
Either way, David and Victoria, 51, are said to be “hopeful” that Romeo’s split from Turnbull will end their sons’ rumored feud and bring the family back together.
“David and Victoria are hopeful the boys will mend things soon,” an insider claimed. “They just want their family to be at peace and whole again.”
