Roman Reigns' WrestleMania opponent possibly revealed

Roman Reigns' opponent at WrestleMania 42 has been possibly revealed. The OTC1 has been away from WWE TV since competing in the WarGames match at Survivor Series.

With the Road to WrestleMania getting closer as we head into the new year, there is a lot of speculation on where Reigns will be on the marquee card in Las Vegas. Having featured in multiple main events at the Show of Shows, it is expected that the Tribal Chief will once again be under the spotlight.

Now, a report from Wrestling Observer Newsletter (WON) has provided an update on whom Reigns could face on the show. Dave Meltzer noted that the initial plan was to have Reigns face Seth Rollins in the main event of one of the nights.

Meltzer noted that the last time he asked about Rollins, the option was still open, but "it was far from a sure thing." However, with The Visionary himself stating that he is three to four months away from a return, that match is looking unlikely.

The report added that as a title match, Cody Rhodes vs. Roman Reigns is looking likely for the show in April.

The Tribal Chief has faced the American Nightmare twice at WrestleMania in one-on-one matches. Both stars have one win over each other at the Grandest Stages of Them All.

Roman Reigns made an appearance amid WWE hiatus

Amid his WWE hiatus, Roman Reigns made a special appearance just before Christmas.

The former Universal Champion delivered pizzas to sick children at the hospitals in South Florida. An Instagram user uploaded a photo of Reigns and thanked the WWE star for his efforts. The user also called Reigns a true-life hero.

WWE fans will now await his return to action as the anticipation toward Royal Rumble and WrestleMania starts building.
