Raiders QB Geno Smith shares his honest thoughts on Pete Carroll's Raiders after 10-7 loss to the Broncos
In March, Geno Smith was traded by the Seahawks to the Raiders for a 2025 92nd overall pick. This reunited him with his former coach, Pete Carroll. However, the veteran quarterback has been struggling to find any offensive momentum on the field this season.
Following Thursday's loss to the Broncos, Smith became the league leader in total interceptions (12) while recording 1,844 yards and 11 TDs passing. However, he remains confident in the team's ability to make amends and emerge as a strong contender for the Super Bowl under Carroll's guidance.
"It's football man. I say this all the time. It's football. Nobody's perfect," Smith said. "I always say this: God wouldn't put anything on me that I can't handle.Again, this man, it's usually darkness before dawn. We're gonna rise. It hurts, it sucks. We'll figure it out. "When the Raiders stop beating the Raiders, we'll go out there and we can beat anybody in this league"The Raiders are scheduled to face the Dallas Cowboys next Monday (Nov.17) at 8:15 p.m. ET. Can Carroll and his team bring an end to their three-game losing streak in Week 11?
