One of AEW's top champions identified a major flaw in Mercedes Mone this week on Collision. The star in question, Kris Statlander, will be defending her title against The CEO at the Tony Khan-led company's upcoming pay-per-view later this month.

Mercedes Mone challenged the Galaxy's Greatest Alien to a Women's World Championship match at Full Gear 2025 after the events of WrestleDream last month. Statlander addressed the erstwhile Sasha Banks on the latest episode of AEW Collision, acknowledging her numerous achievements, and recognizing her legacy in the history of women's wrestling.

Regardless, Stat maintained that Mercedes had a major flaw in her game - that she was not focused on the All Elite Wrestling Women's Title, a belt that Kris insisted she would not let her treat like the other championships currently in her possession.

“Mercedes, you have a lot that I will never have. More success, more accolades, more confidence, and more legacy than any woman in wrestling history. But there is one thing… well, maybe two… that I have and you don’t. Focus. I have complete and total focus on being the AEW Women’s World Champion, and you don’t. If you think this is just some other side piece you can scribble on a cake or have a nameless male bimbo carry behind you, well then, you would be wrong in the most extraordinary of ways."

Statlander then reminded Mercedes that she and her tag partner Athena failed to defeat the Babes of Wrath to advance in the AEW Women's World Tag Team Championship Tournament this Wednesday on Dynamite because of her involvement. She also warned "Ultimo" Mone of their upcoming showdown inside the first-ever Women's Blood and Guts, and confidently declared that she will also walk out of their title fight at Full Gear victorious.

"You were eliminated from the tag tournament because you were not focused on me. And now I will follow you into Blood and Guts, and I will go through whoever I have to until you are focused on me. Then at Full Gear, one year after we fought for the very first time in a completely different world, your focus will be full, your vision will be clear, and it still won’t make a difference.” [H/T - Fightful]

"Born Again Kristen" had her first match with Mercedes at last year's Full Gear, where she had unsuccessfully challenged the latter for her TBS Championship.
