Under Mike Brown, Josh Hart's role has seen a decrease, but he continues to impact the game in many ways. On Sunday, Hart recorded 14 points and 9 rebounds in a win against the Chicago Bulls.

However, after the game, the New York Knicks guard dropped some concerning news. While speaking to the reporters, Hart revealed that he has been dealing with a nerve issue in his right hand, which has bothered him on multiple occasions, giving him "a little bit of tingling, a little bit of numbness."

"Yeah, my nerve hasn't fully gotten back to what it was before," Hart said. "Hopefully, at some point, that nerve will get back to where it was. Hopefully sooner rather than later, but right now it's a process."

Under sacked head coach Tom Thibodeau, Josh Hart was one of the leaders in minutes and even topped the league last season. However, since Bike Brown took the coaching job, Hart's minutes have significantly declined. He is now averaging just 23 minutes.

Hart also struggled on the offense in the first five games of the season. His highest score was just 6 points, and he failed to score in two games. However, in the last two games, he has scored 14 and 12 points against the Bulls and the Washington Wizards, respectively.

Mike Brown admits to being unaware of Josh Hart's injury

Josh Hart has largely kept his right-hand injury to himself, largely because he has chosen to play through the injury. It was also one of the reasons that his Knicks coach, Mike Brown, was surprised by the injury news.

That's news to me," Brown said. "Casey [Smith, VP of Sports Medicine] has handled it as best he can, and Josh has, too. He had 14 and 9 tonight, so if he's healthy, oh my gosh, look out. He's playing fine. He's missed a lot of time, so he's playing catch-up, and he's doing a heck of a job doing it."

Hart said that he trusted that the healing process would finally help him get the feeling back in his hand. He added that the nerve issue bothered his middle finger, pinky finger and the fourth finger. However, the Knicks player has scrapped the surgery option, at least for this season.

Under Mike Brown, Josh Hart has come off the bench, limiting his role. However, for Hart, winning was something he would choose over his minutes. He is also averaging career lows in points (5.0) and field goal percentage (31.0%)
