The Ghost Worm spawns randomly across the open waters once the Ghost Worm event is activated. This event is exclusively triggered by the game’s admins, which makes it quite difficult to predict when it may occur. Once it activates, you will see an on-screen message informing you of the same.

If you happen upon such a message, hop on a boat, and sail to the point on the map indicated by the “Ghost Worm event” text. Start fishing as soon as possible, as only one player will be able to catch the coveted fish.

Catching the Ghost Worm can be quite difficult, owing to its low catch rate and admin event exclusivity. Its catch rate is one in a million, making it among the more elusive species in the game. So, your best bet is to use the best possible gear to maximize your odds of getting it.

Currently, the best fishing setup includes the Element Rod and the Singularity Bait. You can get the Element Rod by completing the associated quest, while the Singularity Bait can be bought for 8,200,000 Coins from the Traveling Merchant.

You can also stack Luck Potions and Server Luck bonuses on top of this setup to improve your odds even further. If RNG favors you, you will catch the Ghost Worm in no time.
