Rhea Ripley responds to major accusation following WWE SmackDown

Rhea Ripley was seen wearing a black mask upon her return to WWE a few weeks ago. This isn't the first time The Eradicator has worn a face mask, especially around this time of the year.

On X/Twitter, a fan accused Ripley of wearing the mask "just for decoration." However, the former Women's World Champion took notice of the accusation and had a hilarious response for the fan.

"Rhea funny as hell she know that mask is just for decoration," the fan wrote.

Ripley responded by joking:

"Wish my nose got that memo."

For those unaware, Rhea Ripley legitimately injured her nose during WWE's Tour of Japan last month. Raquel Rodriguez threw Iyo Sky out onto the Australian during a match, and the collision seemingly caused a broken nose, which kept Ripley off television for weeks before she made her return on the November 10 edition of WWE RAW.

The face mask is for protection, due to the delicate nature of nose injuries, and is not for decoration, as confirmed by the superstar herself.

The Nightmare is set for a WarGames match at Survivor Series 2025. She is set to team up with Iyo Sky, Charlotte, and Alexa Bliss, but was a member short. On the latest episode of SmackDown, it was confirmed that AJ Lee would be the fifth member on Ripley's team for WarGames this year.

On the November 17 edition of RAW, AJ Lee made her return to programming to cost Becky Lynch her Women's Intercontinental Championship against Maxxine Dupri. In a backstage segment, she was approached by Rhea Ripley about a conversation, which was likely about a spot on their team for WarGames.

The opposing side also received a fifth member, with Becky Lynch joining Asuka, Kairi Sane, Nia Jax, and Lash Legend for the five-on-five cage match this year. It remains to be seen which of the two teams comes out on top on November 29 in San Diego.
