An injured WWE star is expected to return to action soon. The Stamford-based promotion has seen some of its top names placed on the injury list, but one of them could be heading back to the squared circle in the near future.

In October, former United States champion Jacob Fatu was sidelined with an injury that was expected to keep him out of action for a few months. It was reported that his injury was dental-related.

Earlier this month, it was reported that Fatu may return to WWE in the next few weeks. While the Samoan Werewolf has still not made his return, he might be closer than ever.

On the Fightful Select Answers Q&A, Sean Ross Sapp noted that Bodyslam.net had reported that Fatu's injury was dental-related, and as such, he didn't expect him to be out much longer.

Before his injury, he was planned for a feud with Drew McIntyre to determine the No.1 contender for Cody Rhodes' WWE Championship. However, Fatu was written off TV in a backstage attack following his real-life injury issue.

WWE had to alter plans due to Jacob Fatu's injury

Jacob Fatu's injury forced the promotion to alter its plans heading into Survivor Series. He was initially planned to face Drew McIntyre at Saturday Night's Main Event in early November.

However, the creative had to book McIntyre against Cody Rhodes at the event due to the former Bloodline member's injury.

The promotion also had to change plans for Survivor Series: WarGames, as Fatu was rumored to be part of the babyface team at the event alongside Roman Reigns, CM Punk, and The Usos.

2025 had been a breakout year for Jacob Fatu before he was sidelined. He won the U.S. title at WrestleMania 41 after beating LA Knight and had a feud with his former stablemate Solo Sikoa in the summer.
