A recently released WWE star opened up about his future in professional wrestling. He talked about various things related to his career, including a possibility of working for AEW down the line.

Ridge Holland's contract with the Stamford-based promotion was recently terminated following a decent run in the company. In his seven-year career with the Stamford-based promotion, Holland had decent runs in NXT UK, NXT, and SmackDown. However, due to constant injuries, the 37-year-old failed to create a major impact on the fans and the WWE management.

Speaking on TMZ Inside The Ring, Holland said he believes he has only begun to show off his true abilities. He added that he wants to work for other wrestling promotions as well, hinting at a possibility of making an AEW debut in the coming months. Ridge expressed his confidence, saying he has the potential to add value to any promotions he signs with in the future.

“I mean, I love wrestling. Like, that’s the one thing that I wanted to do since I were a kid. I love wrestling. So whether they want me there—if they think I can add value, which I think I can—I’ve not scratched the surface in what I’m capable of, totally. Even though I was at WWE for eight years, I feel like I’ve not scratched the surface." he said [H/T: Ringside News]

Ridge Holland addressed the Big E injury incident in WWE

Ridge Holland suffered a major backlash from the WWE Universe in 2022 after he botched a belly-to-belly suplex with Big E on SmackDown. That botch caused a serious neck injury to E, which forced him to quit wrestling. Recently, Holland addressed that incident in his recent YouTube video

In a video shared on his YouTube channel, Holland revealed that the Big E's injury affected him pretty much. He added that if he had a time machine, he would have changed the outcome of that spot.

“Obviously the thing that affected me more than anything was the Big E thing. “I just want to say that if I had a time machine, right here right now, the first thing I’d do is go back and not do that spot. There’s not a day that goes by that I don’t think about what happened."

Ridge Holland revealed that Big E forgave him despite the backlash he received from the fans. Further, Holland praised the New Day member for his work and stance over the SmackDown spot.
