The Baltimore Ravens have undergone some big changes this offseason.
For the first time in almost two decades, the team has a new head coach. John Harbaugh and the team parted ways, and Harbaugh is now coaching the New York Giants. The Ravens, meanwhile, are hoping that a new coaching staff will help the team finally get over the playoff hump once again.
The team tried to make a very bold trade this offseason. It was reported that the team had agreed to a deal for star edge-rusher Maxx Crosby, but the deal fell through, and the Ravens pivoted to Trey Hendrickson.
But, what if the Ravens aren't done trying to make a blockbuster trade? Jeff Kerr of Eagles On SI believes the Ravens would be a perfect fit for a certain star wide receiver.
Ravens urged to trade for mercurial A.J. Brown
If there's one thing the Ravens haven't given Lamar Jackson, it's a true No. 1 wide receiver. Zay Flowers has had a couple of good seasons now, but he's not the elite receiver that alters the gameplans of defenses.
Enter A.J. Brown. Brown has seemingly been perpetually unhappy in Philadelphia, and the Eagles are rumored to be open to moving him. Regarding Brown and the Ravens, Kerr offered the following:
Lamar Jackson has never thrown to a true No. 1 wide receiver. Why not maximize Jackson's prime and try to acquire Brown?
Baltimore did add Ja'Kobi Lane and Elijah Sarrett in the draft, but those players may not help the Ravens win a title this year. Brown would signify a "win now" move and the Ravens have shown they are willing to trade first-round picks for premium players in the past (even if they rescinded the last trade for a premium player).
If the Ravens got involved in the Brown sweepstakes, that would be massive for the Eagles in getting what they want in a potential Brown deal.
As Kerr mentioned, the Ravens did add a couple of rookies this offseason, but it's probably not wise to rely on that duo to be elite immediately. As a result, a move for a player like Brown could end up being the win-now move the team needs.
Brown has earned three Pro Bowl bids, been selected to the Second-team All-Pro team twice, and has a Super Bowl ring. The receiver had a "down" year in 2025, but still ended with 78 catches and 1,003 yards.
Baltimore is obviously interesting because it would give Jackson a true No. 1 receiver for the first time. It's also an interesting landing spot, because it would reunite Brown with Derrick Henry, after the two played together in Tennessee.
A receiver room of Brown, Flowers, Rashod Bateman, Devontez Walker, and the two rookies is definitely an intriguing group. Factor in Jackson at quarterback, Henry at running back, and Mark Andrews at tight end, and this seems like a Super Bowl-worthy offense.
