Browns' KC Concepcion and Denzel Boston get fun rookie projections from ESPN

The Cleveland Browns remade most of their offense this past offseason, reshuffling the entire offensive line and adding two new wide receivers to play alongside Jerry Jeudy.

In Round 1, they took Texas A&M's KC Concepcion, and in Round 2, they got a steal in Denzel Boston out of Washington.

ESPN's Mike Clay is projecting that not only will both see the field right away in their rookie year, but they will both have the chance to have a fun and "substantial" rookie year, no matter who is at quarterback.

Browns' rookie WR duo projected for fun and 'substantial' 2026

"KC Concepcion, Cleveland Browns: 773 yards, 3 TDs," Clay projects. "(Makai) Lemon and the Browns' duo (Concepcion and Denzel Boston) have a path to substantial Year 1 workloads, but expectations should be kept in check."

The Browns' rookie duo should be seeing the field right from the start of the season, with the options other than Jeudy being Cedric Tillman and Isaiah Bond, two receivers not nearly good enough to keep the rookie duo off the field.

While Clay is projecting for Concepcion to have 773 yards and three touchdowns, and Boston within range for a "substantial" workload, there is one concern: The quarterback play and how good the offense actually is.

Shedeur Sanders or Deshaun Watson is the likely starter for the Browns at quarterback, and neither QB option is really all that great.

Of course, rookies like Carnell Tate and Jordyn Tyson are projected for more production than Boston and Concepcion due to the offensive environment.

So, while these two Browns rookie WRs have the chance to put up some strong numbers in their first season in the NFL, Clay is tempering expectations.

But, even if this Browns rookie duo doesn't have the best QB play, with Todd Monken calling plays, and the expectation of being full-time starters, it would not be a surprise if the projections for Concepcion and Boston were beaten in 2026.

These projections for Concepcion and Boston are fun, as a highly involved rookie season is very possible for both first-year receivers.
