The Baltimore Ravens' offseason has been rather interesting, to say the least.
With John Harbaugh moving on and then the infamous walk-back on the Maxx Crosby trade, the Ravens have been in the news a lot over the past few months.
Plus, the day after the Crosby backflip, the Ravens signed fellow pass rusher Trey Hendrickson to a four-year, $112 million deal.
A new shiny weapon for head coach Jesse Minter to work with as the Ravens work out how they can begin the climb back to the summit of the AFC.
And Minter knows exactly what having a player like Hendrickson can do for his defense.
"Trey is a closer. I mean, he's a guy that has the second-most sacks in the fourth quarter of games since 2021," Minter said via NFL.com. "That's an area where we want to improve and want to finish out games when we have the lead. We've had more leads in the fourth quarter than any team in the last five years. So, getting a guy like that will help our pass rush, help the defensive backs, rushing coverage work together."

No Ravens ease-in for Minter
The Ravens and Minter are in an interesting position heading into 2026.
When a new head coach comes in, there will be a grace period as he looks to get his ideas across, but for Minter, this Ravens team is built to win now. So, playoffs are the bare minimum, and in truth, you could argue that a Super Bowl charge is also expected.
For a first-time head coach to walk into that sort of pressure is rare, but Minter knew that coming in.
The signing of Hendrickson will surely have a positive impact on Baltimore, as the defense was poor to start last season before finding its legs.
Can the Ravens begin their ascension to the top of the AFC in 2026?
Your guess is as good as mine.
