The Baltimore Ravens are looking for a new head coach for the first time since 2008.
The team fired John Harbaugh after a disappointing 2025 season in which the team failed to make the playoffs. Harbaugh has already landed a new gig with the New York Giants, while the Ravens are still conductive interviews.
Robert Saleh, Mike McDaniel, Klint Kubiak, and Jesse Minter are some of the coaches the Ravens have had interest in. However, PFSN's Jack Aaron believes there is one candidate who stands above the rest for the job.
Aaron predicts that the Ravens will ultimately go with Kubiak. Kubiak is currently the offensive coordinator of the Seattle Seahawks, who are set to play in the NFC Championship Game next weekend.
Regarding Kubiak and Baltimore, Aaron offered the following:
Kubiak is among the top offensive candidates available after leading the Seahawks offense to the ninth-best mark in PFSN’s Offensive Impact Metric. His balanced philosophy produced one of the league’s best running back tandems in Kenneth Walker III and Zach Charbonnet, helped Jaxon Smith-Njigba emerge as the league’s leading receiver, and supported Sam Darnold’s continued development into a top-10 quarterback.
As Aaron mentioned, Kubiak has worked wonders in Seattle. Sam Darnold looks like one of the best quarterbacks in the league, the team has two solid running backs, and Jaxon Smith-Njigba has developed into an elite receiver.
The Seahawks are second in points per game, seventh in yards per game, and seventh in rushing yards per game in 2025 under Kubiak. In 2024, before Kubiak came to town, the team was 17th in points per game, 15th in yards per game, and 28th in rushing yards per game.
It's fun to think about Kubiak in Baltimore with Lamar Jackson, Derrick Henry, and Zay Flowers. It seemed like Harbaugh and Jackson weren't on the same page in 2025, and a young, offensive-minded coach like Kubiak could fully unlock the star passer.
It'll be hard to replace Harbaugh, though. There's no available coach with as impressive a track record as Harbaugh. The longtime coach had a 193-124 overall record with the Ravens and won a Super Bowl with the team.
It just seemed to get stale in Baltimore, and the team could prefer to start over with an inexperienced coach.
