Miguel Andujar's free agency is heating up.
The former Yankees top prospect, who finished the 2025 season with the Cincinnati Reds, has a lot of teams interested in signing him to a contract.
MLB insider Jon Heyman reported Monday that there are six teams in the picture:
- Reds
- Cubs
- Cardinals
- Padres
- Rangers
- Athletics
If one of those first three teams lands him, it's a solid move that also impacts a couple other NL Central clubs.

"Miguel Andujar is going to find a home, maybe partly because Rob Refsnyder helped to define the market for right-handed hitters who mash lefties, with his one-year, $6.3 million deal with the Mariners," ESPN's Buster Olney wrote earlier this offseason. "Last season, Andujar blistered left-handers for a .389/.409/.578 and wasn't bad against right-handers, either: .290/.331/.429. Andujar also has a reputation for being a great clubhouse guy; both the A's and Reds spoke very highly of their experience with him. But like (Luis) Arraez, Andujar is viewed as someone who doesn't have a landing spot on the field."
Andujar's overall statline in 2025 included a .318 average and .822 OPS.
He has played third base and the corner outfield spots in his career.
Certainly, he will be useful somewhere, and as the season approaches, more teams are giving him a cal.
