Rapper Ja Rule's wayward golf shot almost takes out crowd at Derek Jeter Invitational 2025 celebrity shootout

Ja Rule became part of an unintentional incident during the celebrity shootout at the Derek Jeter Invitational 2025. The star rapper hit a wayward tee shot that nearly struck the crowd present at the Royal Blue Golf Course in Nassau.

The annual Derek Jeter Invitational 2025 began on Tuesday, December 16, at the Royal Blue Golf Course in Nassau. The Tuesday round also featured a celebrity shootout where Ja Rule also tried his hand.

On Thursday, Golfweek's senior writer Adam Schupak shared a clip of Ja Rule teeing off at the Derek Jeter Invitational. However, his tee shot missed the target and narrowly missed the crowd standing nearby.

"Ja Rule almost took me and a bunch of photographers out with his tee shot in the celebrity shootout at the Derek Jeter Invitational ⛳️" Schupak wrote on X.

For the uninitiated, the Derek Jeter Invitational is a charity event hosted by MLB Hall of Famer Derek Jeter's Turn 2 Foundation. The earnings from the tournament will benefit the foundation, which will use the funds to empower youth.
