The Los Angeles Rams were dealt heartbreak in the NFC Championship, as they fell to the NFC West rival Seattle Seahawks for a chance to play in the Super Bowl against the New England Patriots.
Now, fully in offseason mode, the Rams have some massive decisions to make. While there are big issues to address, nothing is more important than what to do with Matthew Stafford. His status has a huge impact on the entire offseason plan for the Rams.
What would the Rams do if he did come back? Adam Grosbard of the LA Daily News shared a very important quote from Rams general manager Les Snead, which revealed the Rams would be ready to go all-in in 2026 if Stafford is back in L.A.
Rams GM teases all-in offseason if Matthew Stafford returns
"If Matthew (Stafford) decides to come back," Snead said, "there will be an element... let's definitely make the most of the time we have with Matthew. The type of season that he showed he had, there's only so many of those left."
Stafford's 2025 season, which might end up with an MVP award, has given the Rams immense confidence in their chances going forward.
But that's only possible if he decides to return to the Rams in 2026. He could retire after a Hall of Fame career, or he could hit free agency and look to leave for a new team. Either of which would be a disaster for the Rams.
However, if he's back in Los Angeles, Snead's comments indicate that the Rams would be ready to go all-in with building a strong team around Stafford.

That could include adding more help along the offensive line, taking a wide receiver early in the NFL Draft, or drastically improving the defense with blockbuster signings or trades.
Puka Nacua, Davante Adams, Kyren Williams, Blake Corum, and the tight end rotation are a good enough offensive environment. But, if Snead wants to, he could acquire more help at WR or TE to give Stafford the best-possible environment.
This quote from Snead is a very exciting one. If Stafford returns, fans should fully expect the Rams to go all-in for the 2026 season, which could feature some aggressive trades, signings, and draft picks in the upcoming offseason.
