The Los Angeles Rams had their bye week in Week 8, but it didn't take long for them to get active following their Sunday off the field. Per Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Rams are acquiring Tennessee Titans cornerback Roger McCreary.
"Titans are sending CB Roger McCreary to the Rams for a conditional 5th/6th round pick swap, per sources," Schefter reports. "Conditions: Titans get 5th-round pick closer to the beginning of the round, which most likely be Titans original 5th round pick. Rams receive the 6th-round pick that is closet to the end of the round. Titans currently have three 6th-round picks."
The Rams have one of the best front fours in the NFL, but their secondary has left a lot to be desired. The 49ers gave the league somewhat of a blueprint on how to beat the Rams' defense. If you can get the ball out quick, the Rams struggled to slow down the passing game. With the addition of McCreary, they get a starting-capable cornerback who can make a difference on the back end.
McCreary is in his fourth season and was drafted in the second round out of Auburn in 2022. Los Angeles will host the New Orleans Saints in Week 9, where McCreary will likely make his Rams debut.
