Raiders trade rumor provides mixed update for Cowboys, Eagles and Patriots

If the Las Vegas Raiders were to make edge rusher Maxx Crosby available via trade again, it's conceivable the Dallas Cowboys, Philadelphia Eagles and New England Patriots could have interest.

But would the Raiders trade Crosby again after the failed deal with the Baltimore Ravens?

According to Hondo Carpenter of Raiders On SI, teams that have spoken to Las Vegas general manager John Spytek said he has been willing to listen to offers lately, which is a change following the nixed deal with Baltimore.

However, Spytek also made it clear he isn't forcing the issue with a trade, either.

"Someone from another team told me they did indeed call (John Spytek) on Maxx," an NFL exec said to Carpenter.  "Unlike when they called before, the Raiders were willing to listen, but made it clear that wasn’t something they were pushing or even trying to make happen.”

“Based on what (Spytek) said, I wouldn’t say they shut it down, but they weren’t encouraging it either.  They were willing to listen, but not active," added the executive.

At this point, it would be surprising if the Raiders turned around and traded Crosby. After all, Crosby has publicly re-committed to the Raiders and it appears he's no longer looking to be traded.

And the Raiders were never really all-in on trading Crosby, either, which is why they had such a high asking price to begin with.

With Crosby no longer pushing, the Raiders aren't going to even consider trading him unless they get a monster deal like they got from the Ravens, which was two first-round picks.

The chances of that happening are much slimmer now after everything that has transpired.

Even before all of this, the second-best offer offer the Raiders got was a first- and second-round pick from the Cowboys, so it's not like they had multiple offers like the one they received from the Ravens.

Thing can absolutely change, though. If Las Vegas has another terrible season in 2026, Crosby could request a trade at the deadline or after the campaign.

But as of right now, we fully expect Crosby to be a Raider come Week 1.
