The New York Yankees started the season fast.
After a scoreless first inning against the San Francisco Giants on Wednesday night's Opening Day, they scored five runs in the second inning.
It's the first time the Yankees have scored five or more runs in an inning on Opening Day since 2006, when they had a seven-run inning against the Oakland Athletics.

The second inning against Logan Webb started slow with a Ben Rice groundout.
But then Giancarlo Stanton got a fastball over the plate and lined a sharp single into right-center.
Jazz Chisholm Jr. got hit by a pitch to get two on base.
Then Jose Caballero stepped into the box and pulled a double into the left field corner to bring home Stanton for a 1-0 lead.
Ryan McMahon followed by squeaking a single up the middle to drive home two more.

Austin Wells followed with his own single.
Then, Trent Grisham crushed a triple to deep right-center to make it 5-0.
Webb escaped by striking out Cody Bellinger.
But 5-0 Yankees after one-and-a-half innings will work nicely.
