The New York Yankees are ready.

Manager Aaron Boone has released his starting lineup for Opening Day, and it's a powerful bunch ready to take on the San Francisco Giants out in the Bay Area.

There are a couple major absences due to injury: Anthony Volpe and Gerrit Cole both aren't ready for the opener.

But besides that, it's a lot of star power for Boone to call upon.

Yankees starting lineup for Game 1 on Wednesday, March 25

The Yankees are rolling out what is pretty much their expected arrangement against a right-handed pitcher, Logan Webb:

  1. Trent Grisham, CF
  2. Aaron Judge, RF
  3. Cody Bellinger, LF
  4. Ben Rice, 1B
  5. Giancarlo Stanton, DH
  6. Jazz Chisholm Jr., 2B
  7. Jose Caballero, SS
  8. Ryan McMahon, 3B
  9. Austin Wells, C

The likes of Paul Goldschmidt, Amed Rosario and Randal Grichuk are on the bench, all capable of pinch-hitting against a left-handed reliever.

Who is the Yankees' starting pitcher tonight?

The Yankees give the baseball to Max Fried to start Opening Night in San Francisco.

Fried is now into his second season with the Yankees and will hold down the ace role for as long as Gerrit Cole is out.

The Yankees have a healthy bullpen, too, and all arms should be ready to go for this one.
