The Las Vegas Raiders, Los Angeles Rams, Detroit Lions, and New York Jets could be keeping an eye on a quarterback on the Tennessee Titans who could be available for trade.
NFL reporter Evan Sidery says the Titans are actively shopping signal-caller Will Levis, and based on what the Jets got in return for Justin Fields from the Kansas City Chiefs, a 2027 sixth-round pick, we know now what the asking price will be for Levis.
"With Justin Fields being traded to the Chiefs for a late-round pick swap, it further establishes the trade value for young backups like Anthony Richardson and Will Levis," Sidery said. "The Colts and Titans are actively shopping both, and the most they’ll get is late Day 3 pick compensation."
After a promising rookie season in 2023, Levis's career has gone downhill. He struggled mightily in 2024, which led to him losing his starting spot to 2025 No. 1 overall pick Cam Ward.
Shoulder surgery kept Levis out for the entire 2025 season, and with the Titans signing Mitchell Trubisky to be the new backup quarterback behind Ward, it's clear Levis's time in Nashville is nearing an end.
Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Detroit, and New York are in need of backup quarterbacks and could give Levis a fresh start.
The Raiders are expected to take Indiana quarterback Fernando Mendoza with the top pick, but adding Levis to be his backup and replace Aidan O'Connell could be something general manager John Spytek explores.
Matthew Stafford will return as the Rams starter in 2026, but Los Angeles currently doesn't have a backup with Jimmy Garoppolo on the free agency market. Levis would add some youth to the Rams' quarterback room and could learn a lot from Stafford and Sean McVay.
Detroit could also take a flyer on Levis to serve as the No. 2 quarterback behind Jared Goff.
New York just traded away Fields to Kansas City, and though they could be comfortable with Brady Cook and Bailey Zappe behind Geno Smith, Levis would be an upgrade over both.
Though the last two seasons have been rough for Levis, the Kentucky product should land on his feet elsewhere and find a backup role that will help him in the long-run.
