PSG and Premier League Giants locked in secret battle to hijack Real Madrid’s prized Galactico

Rodrygo Goes could be the first marquee departure in Real Madrid’s looming summer reset.

According to PSG Talk, Paris Saint-Germain are leading the charge to sign the Brazilian forward, but the race is far from over.

Behind the scenes, four Premier League powerhouses—Arsenal, Manchester City, Liverpool, and Chelsea have entered direct talks with the player’s camp.

Rodrygo joined Real Madrid in June 2019 after the club struck a €45 million deal with Santos the previous year. Of that fee, reportedly, €40 million went to the Brazilian club, which held 80% of his rights.

He signed a long-term contract until 2025, later extended in November 2023 to run until June 2028 for the player who has been part of Champions League-winning core.

But that status is shifting. According to some sources, winger feels overshadowed in Madrid’s evolving front line- headlined by Vinícius Jr., Jude Bellingham, and incoming superstar Kylian Mbappe.

The numbers tell the story. Compared to last season, Rodrygo has played around 300 fewer La Liga minutes in 2024–25, which is a clear signal of reduced influence and starting opportunities.

Now, reports also indicate that the Galactico is not untouchable. Fichajes reports that a €100 million bid could seal Rodrygo’s exit. The club wants to use the funds to strengthen its midfield and defense—an internal reshuffle that’s already underway.

Sports Zone confirms Real’s leadership no longer views Rodrygo as “untouchable.”His agents have contacted PSG and Premier League clubs.

Arsenal, per Diario AS journalist Eduardo Burgos, are tracking the situation closely, but so far, talks remain informal.

The stakes are high. PSG have made first contact, but are cautious. The Premier League’s top clubs aren’t waiting.

Each one sees Rodrygo as a rare opportunity: Champions League pedigree, peak age, and still evolving.
