According to reports in 90min, Manchester City and PSG are eyeing a move for AS Monaco’s Maghnes Akliouche.
The 23-year-old winger, whose summer transfer is looking increasingly likely, is under contract until 2028 and has drawn strong interest from both European heavyweights after a breakout Ligue 1 season.
The interest makes sense, the Frenchman has been dominant in the ligue 1 this season and has already added 9 assists in 30 games, which puts him in fourth place on the Ligue 1 assist leaderboard for 2024–25.
Akliouche's left-footed creativity, ball control, and ability to play across the front line have made him one of the most watched players in Ligue 1.
City boss Pep Guardiola is particularly interested in the Frenchman and views him as a potential long-term successor to Bernardo Silva in the Premier League. There have been reports that Guardiola wanted to sign him in January, but Monaco did not sell mid-season.
Monaco now seems willing to let go of Akliouche and has set his price around €70 million. Sources indicate both the player and the club think a summer transfer could work best.

PSG, on the other hand, has kept in touch with the player's representatives but hasn't yet contacted Monaco. They're expected to step up their transfer efforts once the season ends.
PSG are also eyeing Liverpool star
According to Anfield Watch, PSG have stepped up their efforts to sign Liverpool’s French defender Ibrahima Konate.
Konate is under contract until 2026 but has not yet agreed to an extension. Liverpool want to retain him and have tabled a new deal.
But talks have reached an impasse with Konate wanting a new deal that will make him one of the highest earners at the club on £200,000 a week.
PSG are pushing hard to sign the France international as they know Liverpool may have to listen to offers, with Konaté nearing the final year of his deal.
Parisian may itself lose centre-back Marquinhos and see Konaté as a potential replacement.
