Proposed mega blockbuster Pacers trade sees Indiana land division rival's $175 million franchise superstar, create awesome duo with Tyrese Haliburton

The Indiana Pacers just went through with a very successful tank job, finishing with a record of 19-63 and second to last in the Eastern Conference. Now, they have a chance to land a top lottery pick, and maybe even swing one of the best trades of the 2020’s.

Bleacher Report’s Greg Swartz proposes that the Pacers get on the phone with their division rival, the Milwaukee Bucks, and make them an offer they can’t refuse for their franchise superstar, Giannis Antetokounmpo.

The trade would look like this:

Pacers get: PF Giannis Antetokounmpo, F Kyle Kuzma

Bucks get: PF Pascal Siakam, G Andrew Nembhard, PF Jarace Walker, 2027 first-round pick (unprotected)

“Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Pacers have had some real battles over the years, although teaming up this summer would be mutually beneficial…Tyrese Haliburton will be back next year and Ivica Zubac is already on board as the team's new starting center. Adding a two-time MVP in his prime to a core that also features Aaron Nesmith, Obi Toppin, T. J. McConnell, Kuzma and potentially the No. 1 overall pick in the draft would make the Pacers the best team in the East,” Swartz wrote.

This season, Antetokounmpo averaged 27.6 points, 9.8 rebounds, and 5.4 assists in 28.9 minutes per game. Combine him with one of the best playmakers in the league with Tyrese Haliburton, a double-double machine in Ivica Zubac, and a potential No. 1 pick, and Swartz is right; They are the best team in the East.

Hopefully, the Pacers can find some way to swing this trade. If they do, this could be the best and quickest tank job the NBA has ever seen.
