Pro Kabaddi 2025 is officially in the history books. Dabang Delhi KC won the PKL 2025 championship by defeating Puneri Paltan in the final match played on October 31 at the Thyagaraj Indoor Stadium.
Delhi coach Joginder Narwal became only the two player in Pro Kabaddi League history to win the trophy as a coach and a captain. Incidentally, Narwal won the PKL title as Delhi's captain in the eighth season.
The latest PKL season was the 12th edition of this mega kabaddi tournament. The tournament was full of thrilling games and surprises. Eventually, Dabang Delhi KC emerged as the champions, and here's a look at the best playing seven of the competition.
Center - Ayan Lohchab, Patna Pirates
Patna Pirates' main raider Ayan Lohchab will be the lead raider of this team. Ayan had a huge responsibility on his shoulders this season because his raiding partner from last season Devank Dalal had left for the Bengal Warriorz.
Ayan stepped up and delivered the goods for the Pirates, earning 316 raid points to end the tournament as the best raider. Notably, Ayan had an extraordinary average of 14.36 raid points per match. He executed nine super raids and finished with 16 Super 10s to his name.
Right In - Devank Dalal, Bengal Warriorz
As mentioned ahead, Devank Dalal left Patna Pirates and joined Bengal Warriorz in PKL 12. Dalal continued his excellent form and finished second on the leaderboard by earning 271 raid points in just 16 matches.
The Bengal raider averaged 16.93 raid points per match and recorded 15 Super 10s in 16 matches. He was at the top of the Pro Kabaddi 2025 Most Raid Points list for a long time, but Ayan Lohchab overtook him in the final phases of the tournament.
Left In - Bharat Hooda, Telugu Titans
Telugu Titans had one of their best seasons in Pro Kabaddi League history this year, and it was majorly because of Bharat Hooda. The tall all-rounder made a massive difference to the Titans team with his all-round skills.
His phenomenal raiding and timely ankle holds helped him earn 247 raid points and 17 tackle points for the Telugu Titans. He averaged more than 10 raid points per game, while his raid success rate was 65.9%.
Right Corner - Navdeep, Patna Pirates
While Ayan Lohchab took the responsibility to score raid points for the Patna Pirates, Navdeep proved to be the backbone of Patna's defense. The youngster stunned the raiders with his excellent tackling skills in the right corner position.
Navdeep took the Best Defender award home in Pro Kabaddi 2025 for his tally of 73 tackle points. He was the only defender to cross the 70 tackle points mark in PKL 2025.
Left Corner - Nitesh Kumar, Tamil Thalaivas
Tamil Thalaivas' PKL 2025 campaign was full of controversies. Be it Pawan Sehrawat's exit or Arjun Deshwal and Sanjeev Baliyan's outburst in the press conference, it was a season to forget for the Thalaivas and their fans.
Left corner defender Nitesh Kumar's top-quality performance was one of the few bright spots for the Tamil Thalaivas in Pro Kabaddi 2025. Nitesh scored 65 tackle points in 18 matches to secure the third spot on the defenders' leaderboard.
Right Cover - Sunil Kumar, U Mumba (c)
Sunil Kumar will captain the best playing seven of Pro Kabaddi 2025. He has been one of the most successful captains in PKL history, and under his leadership, the Mumbai-based franchise finished in the upper half of the PKL 2025 points table.
Kumar also impressed the fans with his fantastic defense as the right cover defender of U Mumba. The U Mumba captain earned 52 tackle points in 19 matches to attain the sixth position on the Most Tackle Points list.
Left Cover - Jaideep Dahiya, Haryana Steelers
Jaideep Dahiya was the most successful cover defender of the season. He earned 68 tackle points in 19 matches to finish second in the overall Most Tackle Points list.
Dahiya led his team Haryana Steelers from the front and guided them to the second round of the tournament. However, Haryana lost their play-in match against the Jaipur Pink Panthers. Nevertheless, Dahiya performed consistently as the left cover defender for the Steelers.
