Prince Harry is a good sport.
The British royal tried his hand at an American accent while appearing on Wednesday’s episode of the “Hasan Minhaj Doesn’t Know” podcast.
Host Minhaj asked Harry, 41, whether he “could do an American accent,” to which the prince — who lives in California — inquired, “Which part of America?”
Minhaj, 40, explained that the accent could be from “anywhere” before he gave his guest several sentences to repeat.
“This is the most American sentence I could think of,” the comedian admitted before saying, “I ordered breadsticks with ranch dressing at Applebee’s.”
Laughing, Harry asked for the sentence to be repeated, prompting Minhaj to stress the importance of emphasizing the “A” in both ranch and Applebee’s.
“‘A,’ Applebee’s,” Harry repeated, as Minhaj prompted him to say, “I love Applebee’s.” The Duke of Sussex obliged but giggled in the process.
“Now I’m just sitting here sweating,” Harry confessed, going on to complete the task at hand.

“I ordered breadsticks with ranch dressing at Applebee’s,” he said into the mic using a generic American accent.
A somewhat impressed Minhaj let out, “That was decent,” as the slightly embarrassed royal looked over at the off-camera crew. “They enjoyed that,” he quipped.
The podcaster then asked Harry to repeat, “Hey, do you like my Cybertruck?” which he did — followed by more chuckles.
Minhaj then scolded — perhaps playfully — his staffers for laughing in the background, informing them that the pair was “having a real thing.”
But the prince quickly stepped in to insist that “the laughter is encouraging.” However, he paused and wondered aloud, “Is it encouraging, or is it mocking me? I’m not sure.”
The “Spare” author then leaned over to look at the ongoing commotion and hilariously shouted, “Come on, y’all!”
Notably, Harry is married to an American — former actress Meghan Markle — and the couple has lived in the US since 2020.
