President Donald Trump does not like 'boring' physical exercise outside of golf

President Donald Trump recently revealed his physical exercise routine in an interview. He said he wasn't a fan of the treadmill or running on it for hours and found it to be boring.

Donald Trump is currently 79 years old and will be 82 by the time he completes his tenure. This will make him the oldest sitting president which will break the current record of Joe Biden. However, despite this age, President Trump maintained that he was fit and healthy.

In his latest interview, Trump shed light on his exercise routine, which was pretty much nothing.

"To walk on a treadmill or run on a treadmill for hours and hours like some people do, that’s not for me. I just don’t like it, it’s boring," he said as per Wall Street Journal.

Notably, Donald Trump had revealed previously that he only loved playing golf as physical exercise.

"My 'exercise' is playing, almost never during the week, a quick round of golf," he said in 2020.

Speaking of health, Trump also revealed that he was taking a high dose of aspirin.

"They say aspirin is good for thinning out the blood, and I don't want thick blood pouring through my heart," he mentioned. "I want nice, thin blood pouring through my heart."

It is no secret that Donald Trump is an avid golf fan and loves playing the game whenever free. As per the USGN, he has a handicap of 2.8, which is quite impressive for someone of his age. However, many critics have raised eyebrows at the truth of the claim.

Golf stars and veterans like Bryson DeChambeau and Jack Nicklaus have praised Trump's golfing skills in the past. Last year, he also played alongside DeChambeau in the golfer's YouTube series named "Break 50."

Trump is also the owner of seventeen golf courses across the world. He first opened his golf course in 1999 in Florida and named it Trump International Golf Club, West Palm Beach.

Trump-owned golf courses have hosted events on the PGA, LPGA, as well as LIV Golf. He hosted the LPGA Tour finale for eight years until 2008. Besides, they have also hosted the US Junior Amateur, US Junior Girls Championships, Senior PGA Championship 2027 and the PGA Championship 2022.

In recent years, Donald Trump's courses were a regular feature in LIV Golf's calendar. However, he is not going to host any LIV event in 2026. Interestingly, President Trump's course is set to return to the PGA Tour, as Trump Doral’s Blue Monster near Miami will host the Miami Championship in 2026.
